Join us at the gallery on the evening of Thursday, August 18th for our first wine tasting event, organized in collaboration with the Ballets Russes Arts Initiative to bring you some of Eastern Europe’s best modern flavors.
We’ll be exploring the viticulture of Georgia (the country), where wine-making was invented more than 8,000 years ago – tasting through a great lineup of white, amber, rose, red, and dessert wines from high quality producers using both European and traditional local methods. The evening will feature wines from the portfolio of an exciting new Massachusetts-based boutique importer focused exclusively on the country, Georgian Toast, who bring us fine expressions of indigenous varietals, including some from old vines, organic or bio-dynamic grapes.
Food pairings, including some authentic to the region, will be provided, courtesy of Russian Boston’s favorite, Bazaar International Gourmet.
New wines, traditional food, and contemporary art – we couldn’t think of a better Thursday night trio.
The tasting is a fundraiser for Ballets Russes Arts Initiative‘s program development. Some tickets types (VIP) include a tax-deductible donation.
